Kara Cook
Kara Cook is a Family Lawyer who brings a wealth of knowledge to the CDQ team.
With experience in issues ranging from divorce and separation through to negotiating property settlements and parenting arrangements, Kara can support clients and advise them on all aspects of their dispute, the processes and legal procedures involved, as well as the best way to move forward. Above all, she is pragmatic and fair, representing the firm’s clients with integrity and looking after their best interests while providing guidance every step of the way.
Kara understands the challenges and emotional trauma involved in the breakdown of a relationship or family unit. She is both empathetic and approachable and works hard to minimise the stress experienced by clients while listening to their concerns and keeping them informed of their rights and obligations during a family dispute.
Kara is committed to resolving parenting and property disputes through negotiation or mediation wherever possible and avoiding the need for potentially costly and lengthy court action.
In addition to Family Law, Kara can also apply her knowledge and expertise in the field of litigation and dispute resolution to the commercial arena and has experience representing clients in Court and providing advice on their litigation matters. This cross-over of experience offers benefits in both fields as Kara combines a strong understanding of business structures and bankruptcy, with a professional and friendly approach that puts clients at ease immediately.
A southern Sydney local, Kara attended the University of Wollongong and worked for both a Sydney based law firm and a Sutherland Shire practice before joining CDQ.
